Holmans Test Mine
In the past it was explored by Holman, a Cornish mining company made known worldwide after releasing its Holman 303 Silver rockdrill. Holman manufactured all sorts of mining and auxiliar equipment, and had was so successful that it had offices all over the world, and manufacturing plants in Cornwall (3 of them) and in Johannesburg. After mining went under in Cornwall, Holman closed its doors and sold all its assets. Currently the Test Mine is managed by Pat Foster (lecturer in CSM) and its day-to-day operations are run by Gus Williams (former South Crofty miner). |
